Justice done at last

Just imagine all you cricket crazy guys as to how bad and unjustified would it been, had the Royal Challengers Bangalore beaten the Mumbai Indians side to march to the finals of the Indian Premier League? This would have been nothing but injustice for, a team which didn't even deserve to be in the semi finals of the tournament should not even deserve to be in the finals of the same. And, mind all of you cricket crazy people that these words are coming out from the hearts of a Bangalorean whose favorite should have been the Royal Challengers Bangalore.

One can imagine the way the South African team in the world cups 1996 and 1999 made its exit despite being favorites to hold the trophy. Prior to the start of the first semi finals between the two teams mentioned, the Mumbai Indians had grabbed a chance to host the semi finals of the tournament after there were reports of low intensity bomb blasts prior to the round robin match between the same two teams just 5 days back. And, just a day later, Mumbai Indians have also sealed the chance of the Bangalore team winning the trophy and entering the finals of the same for the 2nd time.

As mentioned in one of our earlier posts, the Royal Challengers Bangalore had reached the semi finals by luck when the points table suggests that their major victims were the Rajasthan Royals and the Kings XI Punjab, both of whom proves problems for enthusiasts whenever they attempted to look at the team's positions. And then onwards, they had a victory each against Mumbai Indians, Chennai Superkings and the Delhi Daredevils not without compromising by getting defeated by the same teams. One need not cite their successful run chase on two occasions against an out of form Kings XI Punjab who were filled with only batsmen.

They had to compromise with the fourth position after being in the second position for a quite decent time duration. All that the Royal Challengers Bangalore could afford was mindblowing defeats against Mumbai, Hyderabad and Delhi which out classed their wins against Mumbai and Delhi on the earlier occasions. Perhaps! Now, much to one's expectations, they are bound to face the losers of the second semi finals between the Chennai Superkings and the Deccan Chargers, winning against which will see them ending the tournament on a high when they would be making it to the Champions league. But, it is the percentage of odds that would make news now.
